Meet the Tutorial Team!
Welcome to the new academic year young and old ShunHingers! I am excited to see all the new faces and happy to greet all the returning ones.
With a mix of joy and sadness, we bid adieu to most of our tutorial team last year. George, Yan, Carlos, Rustam, and Clarissa have graduated and are doing wonderfully cool things with their lives (do keep in touch with them!). Their work and legacy will be taken over by the new tutorial team for this academic year (2018–2019) and I am very excited to introduce them to you!

For those of you who don’t know, the tutorial team comprises of our Master — Ying Chan, Deputy Master — Dr. Zhu Tao, Senior Tutor — Dr. Frank Zhu as well as resident, honorary and guest tutors.

It is our responsibility to take care of floors, organize activities, solve (rare) disputes and turn Shun Hing College from a residential hall to a community. We host regular meetings, discussions and send a ton of slack messages each day to make this happen.
To briefly introduce our existing and new tutors —
Horatius is a wine connoisseur and an avid hiker (maybe don’t combine those things together). Ricardo is an art lover. Ask him about the art scene in Hong Kong.

I (Sona) have a mini library of my own in my room (drop by anytime to check it out or borrow any book). Oliver is a pianist and the one taking those amazing candid pictures. Befriend him if you want that beautiful profile picture (like mine!).

Dora has been playing baseball since the age of 5! She recently represented Hong Kong in WBSC Women’s Baseball World Cup in Florida. Edwin is a registered athletic coach, and he has been running track and field for 10 years.

Dai Jia loves to work out and is also a member of the Dragon Boat team — the team has flourished under her leadership. Andrea is a certified open-water diver and a dedicated traveler — make sure you discuss you travel plans with her.

Jack loves to cook. Head down to the 8/F pantry for some tips and tricks. Mishty is a patron of anime otaku subculture.

Juwon is a journalist and she loves documentaries (not those nature ones though). Sandra loves Harry Potter, and is usually drawn to fantasy, horror, and animation films. She also loves playing jig-saw puzzles and scrabbles.

Think of us as your automatic friends although I am personally too immature to be a mentor so I advise that you seek that in other tutors; my door is always open for some food, drinks (non-alcoholic ofc) and gossips.
I would like to emphasize that you should come and find us, talk to us and let us know about your struggles, triumphs and everything in between. Knock on our doors.
We are here for you.
